    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1 cup holiday-colored M&Ms (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Make the Dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  • Shape the Cookies: Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each cookie.
  • Add Toppings: Press a few extra M&Ms on top of each dough ball for a festive touch.
  • Bake: Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are soft. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
