Ingredients:
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup holiday-colored M&Ms (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Make the Dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
- Shape the Cookies: Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each cookie.
- Add Toppings: Press a few extra M&Ms on top of each dough ball for a festive touch.
- Bake: Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are soft. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
