Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup (25g) breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or cooking spray.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and are slightly undercooked. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and arrange them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Dijon mustard. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Pour the creamy sauce over the shrimp in the baking dish. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs evenly over the top. Dust with paprika for color and flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot with crusty bread, mashed potatoes, or a green salad.
