Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Seal any perforations to form a solid layer.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish.
- Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it on top of the cream cheese layer, sealing any seams.
- Brush the top layer of dough with melted butter. Sprinkle the optional cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top for added sweetness and texture.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are set.
- Let the casserole cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing into squares and serving.
