Ingredients
Scale
- 12 ounces high-quality white chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon natural blue food coloring
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or other holiday decorations (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the White Chocolate: Place the white chocolate in a bowl over hot water or microwave. Stir frequently until smooth and fully melted.
- Heat the Cream: In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it begins to simmer.
- Combine the Cream and Chocolate: Pour the hot cream into the melted chocolate. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Add Flavor and Color: Stir in the butter, blue food coloring, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Continue mixing until the color is evenly distributed and the texture is smooth.
- Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours to allow the mixture to firm up enough to scoop.
- Shape the Truffles: Use a small scoop or spoon to form 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Decorate (Optional): Roll the truffles in sprinkles or crushed candy canes for a festive touch.
- Chill Again: Place the truffles in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour until they are firm and ready to serve.
