- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish, and pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure it is well coated.
- Let the chicken marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
- Place the marinated chicken on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.
- Roast for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Brush with extra marinade halfway through for more flavor.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
