Best Ever Sticky Honey Chicken Recipe | Easy Dinner

  • Author: Jessica

Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Chicken:
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Honey Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the chicken tenderloins dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  4. Once the chicken is seared, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. While the chicken is baking, prepare the honey sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. When the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and brush the tops with the sticky honey sauce.
  7. Return the skillet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize and become sticky.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
