Ingredients
Scale
- For the Chicken:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Honey Sauce:
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Pat the chicken tenderloins dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Once the chicken is seared, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the honey sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly.
- When the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and brush the tops with the sticky honey sauce.
- Return the skillet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize and become sticky.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
