  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. This will help the seasonings stick and ensure a crispy exterior.
  3. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each chicken breast.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken breasts to keep them moist while baking. Optionally, add lemon juice and fresh herbs for extra flavor.
  5. Place the chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a baking dish. Make sure they are not touching each other for even cooking.
  6. Bake the chicken for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when checked with a meat thermometer.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute, keeping the chicken tender and juicy.
  8. Slice and serve. Optionally, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for added flavor.
