Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. This will help the seasonings stick and ensure a crispy exterior.
- In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each chicken breast.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken breasts to keep them moist while baking. Optionally, add lemon juice and fresh herbs for extra flavor.
- Place the chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a baking dish. Make sure they are not touching each other for even cooking.
- Bake the chicken for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when checked with a meat thermometer.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute, keeping the chicken tender and juicy.
- Slice and serve. Optionally, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for added flavor.
