  • 1 package of Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz white chocolate, high-cocoa butter (for dipping)
  • Red and green sanding sugar
  • Crushed peppermint candies
  • Sprinkles (optional)

For the Christmas tree decoration:

  • Green icing (or melted green chocolate)
  • Red and yellow candy for ornaments
  • Edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the white chocolate:
    • Microwave Method: Break the white chocolate into small, even pieces. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted and smooth.
    • Double Boiler Method: Fill a saucepan with a few inches of water and bring to a simmer. Place a heat-safe bowl with the chocolate pieces over the simmering water, stirring until melted and smooth.
  2. Dip the Oreos:
    • Use a fork or dipping tool to dip each Oreo cookie into the melted white chocolate. Tap the fork to remove any excess chocolate and ensure an even coat.
  3. Decorate the Oreos:
    • While the chocolate is still wet, dip the cookies into red and green sanding sugar, crushed peppermint candies, or sprinkles for festive touches.
    • For a Christmas tree design, pipe green icing in the shape of a tree and decorate with small candy “ornaments” and a white “star” on top.
  4. Let the Oreos set:
    • Place the decorated Oreos on a sheet of parchment paper to allow the chocolate to harden. You can speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Serve and enjoy:
    • Once the chocolate is set, your festive Christmas Oreos are ready to serve! Enjoy them with friends and family for a magical holiday treat.
