Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium Russet potatoes (about 6–8 ounces each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional seasonings: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes:
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cool water, scrubbing away any dirt.
- Dry them completely using a towel or paper towels.
- Pierce the skins:
- Use a fork or knife to prick the potatoes several times on all sides. This prevents them from bursting while cooking.
- Season the potatoes:
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil, ensuring an even coating.
- Sprinkle them with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings like garlic powder or paprika.
- Preheat and cook:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t touch.
- Cook for 35-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through. Adjust the time based on potato size (see guide below).
- Check doneness:
- Insert a fork or knife into the potato to check if it’s tender. The skin should be crispy, and the inside should feel soft and fluffy.
