Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (5 oz) can tuna, drained
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1/4 cup celery, finely diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 2 large tortillas or wraps (whole wheat or gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 1 cup lettuce or spinach leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Tuna Filling:
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard (if using), celery, red onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Assemble the Wraps:
- Lay a tortilla or wrap flat on a clean surface.
- Spread half of the tuna mixture in the center of the wrap.
- Sprinkle 1/4 cup of shredded cheese on top of the tuna mixture.
- Add slices of tomato and a handful of lettuce or spinach leaves.
- Fold the Wrap:
- Fold the bottom edge of the wrap up over the filling. Fold the sides inward and then roll tightly into a burrito shape.
- Heat the Wraps:
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the cheese melts and the wrap is golden brown.
- Serve:
- Slice the wraps in half and serve warm. Pair with a side salad, chips, or fruit for a complete meal.
