Ingredients
Scale
For the Salmon Bites:
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons high-heat oil (e.g., avocado or vegetable oil)
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
Optional Garnish:
- Sesame seeds
- Chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Prepare the Salmon Bites:
- Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the salmon cubes in the mixture until evenly coated.
2. Cook the Salmon:
- Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the salmon cubes in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice to the skillet. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
4. Combine and Serve:
- Return the cooked salmon bites to the skillet, tossing gently to coat them in the honey garlic sauce.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, ensuring the salmon is fully glazed and heated through.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
