For the Glaze:
- ½ cup softened butter
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Shape the Rolls:
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface to a ¼-inch thickness.
- Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle evenly with sugar and orange zest.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 1-inch pieces.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let them rise for 30-45 minutes.
- Bake the Rolls:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Make the Glaze:
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter and sour cream until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, whisking until creamy. Stir in the fresh orange juice.
- Glaze the Rolls:
- While the rolls are still warm, drizzle the glaze generously over the top. Serve and enjoy!
