- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
- 8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup peppermint candies or candy canes, crushed
- 12 oz white chocolate, melted
- Optional: festive sprinkles or additional crushed candy canes for decoration
Instructions
- Prepare the Cookie Base:Â Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed plastic bag and using a rolling pin.
- Mix the Dough:Â In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth and well incorporated. Fold in 1/4 cup of the crushed peppermint candies, reserving the rest for decoration.
- Shape the Balls:Â Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls using your hands. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill:Â Refrigerate the Oreo balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Coat the Balls:Â Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Use a fork to lift the ball out and tap off excess chocolate. Place back onto the parchment-lined sheet.
- Decorate:Â While the coating is still wet, sprinkle the remaining crushed peppermint candies or festive sprinkles over the top.
- Set and Serve:Â Let the coated Oreo balls set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
