Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (5 oz) can tuna, drained
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large tortillas or wraps (whole wheat or gluten-free)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce or spinach leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tuna Filling:
    • In a small mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard (if using), celery, red onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  2. Assemble the Wraps:
    • Lay a tortilla or wrap flat on a clean surface.
    • Spread half of the tuna mixture in the center of the wrap.
    • Sprinkle 1/4 cup of shredded cheese on top of the tuna mixture.
    • Add slices of tomato and a handful of lettuce or spinach leaves.
  3. Fold the Wrap:
    • Fold the bottom edge of the wrap up over the filling. Fold the sides inward and then roll tightly into a burrito shape.
  4. Heat the Wraps:
    • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the cheese melts and the wrap is golden brown.
  5. Serve:
    • Slice the wraps in half and serve warm. Pair with a side salad, chips, or fruit for a complete meal.
