- 12 bread rolls (white, whole wheat, or brioche)
- 1 pound of ham (sliced, choose your favorite variety like Black Forest or honey-glazed)
- 12 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella work great)
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced (optional for garlic butter sauce)
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of poppy seeds (optional for garnish)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Your Oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. - Prepare the Rolls:
Slice the bread rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves onto the prepared baking sheet. - Layer the Ingredients:
- Place a slice of ham on each roll bottom.
- Add a slice of cheese on top of the ham.
- Place the top halves of the rolls back on.
- Make the Butter Sauce:
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Stir in the minced garlic (if using), Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
- Brush with Butter Sauce:
- Generously brush the tops of the rolls with the butter sauce.
- Sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired.
- Bake the Sliders:
Place the sliders in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the tops are golden brown. - Serve and Enjoy:
Let the sliders cool slightly before serving. They pair perfectly with chips, a fresh salad, or veggie sticks.
