Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 bread rolls (white, whole wheat, or brioche)
  • 1 pound of ham (sliced, choose your favorite variety like Black Forest or honey-glazed)
  • 12 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella work great)
  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced (optional for garlic butter sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of poppy seeds (optional for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Rolls:
Slice the bread rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves onto the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Layer the Ingredients:
    • Place a slice of ham on each roll bottom.
    • Add a slice of cheese on top of the ham.
    • Place the top halves of the rolls back on.
  4. Make the Butter Sauce:
    • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
    • Stir in the minced garlic (if using), Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
  5. Brush with Butter Sauce:
    • Generously brush the tops of the rolls with the butter sauce.
    • Sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired.
  6. Bake the Sliders:
Place the sliders in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the tops are golden brown.
  7. Serve and Enjoy:
Let the sliders cool slightly before serving. They pair perfectly with chips, a fresh salad, or veggie sticks.
