Ingredients

  • Tomatoes: 4 medium, diced (seeds removed, optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Tomatoes:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the tomatoes.
  2. Remove the stems and cut the tomatoes in half horizontally.
  3. Dice into small, even pieces, removing seeds if preferred.

2. Mix the Ingredients:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, fresh basil, minced garlic, and olive oil.
  2. Gently fold the mixture to keep the tomatoes intact.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

3. Rest for Flavor:

  1. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

4. Serve:

  1. Serve the dip with toasted baguette slices, crispy pita chips, or soft focaccia.
  2. Optionally, create a bruschetta platter by adding marinated olives, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and cherry tomatoes for a complete spread.
