  • Author: Jessica

Description

Learn how to make delicious and easy Chicken Caesar Wraps! These wraps are packed with grilled, fried, or rotisserie chicken, crisp romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, crunchy croutons, and creamy Caesar dressing.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 ½ cups chopped cooked chicken (grilled, fried, or rotisserie)
  • ⅓ cup Caesar dressing
  • ⅓ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup homemade croutons
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4 flour tortillas or wraps (10-inch)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Salad Mixture: Combining the Flavors

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, chopped cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and homemade croutons.
  2. Toss Well: Use tongs to toss the ingredients together until the lettuce and chicken are evenly coated with the dressing and the Parmesan and croutons are well distributed.
  3. Season: Season the salad mixture with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  4. Adjust Dressing: Taste the salad and add more Caesar dressing if desired.
  5. Set Aside: Set the salad mixture aside while you prepare the tortillas.

2. Warm the Tortillas: Making them Pliable

  1. Heat Pan or Griddle: In a large pan or griddle, warm the tortillas over medium heat.
  2. Warm Tortillas: Place one tortilla at a time in the heated pan and cook for about 15 to 30 seconds per side, or just until it becomes soft and pliable.
    • Alternative Microwave Method: You can also warm the tortillas in the microwave. Stack the tortillas on a microwave-safe plate, separated by damp paper towels. Microwave for 15 to 30 seconds, or until warm and pliable.
  3. Keep Warm: As the tortillas are warmed, transfer them to a plate and cover them with a clean kitchen towel or a tortilla warmer to keep them warm and soft.

3. Assemble the Wraps: Creating the Perfect Package

  1. Lay Out Tortilla: Place a warmed tortilla on a clean surface.
  2. Add Filling: Spoon about ¾ to 1 cup of the Caesar salad mixture onto the center of the tortilla, leaving some space at the edges.
  3. Fold and Roll: Fold in the opposite sides of the tortilla towards the center, over the filling. Then, starting from the bottom edge closest to you, roll up the tortilla tightly, tucking in the filling as you go, similar to how you would roll a burrito.
    • Tip: For extra security, you can insert a toothpick into the center of the wrap to help keep it closed.

4. Serve and Enjoy: The Finishing Touches

  1. Cut in Half (Optional): You can cut the wraps in half diagonally for easier handling and a more appealing presentation.
  2. Serve Immediately: Serve the Chicken Caesar Wraps immediately.
