Ingredients with Measurements
- 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands!)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Bundt Pan
- Preheat: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease Bundt Pan: Grease a 10-12 cup Bundt pan generously with cooking spray or butter.
- Tip: For extra insurance against sticking, you can also dust the greased pan with a little flour or a fine layer of breadcrumbs.
2. Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture
- Melt Butter: In a small saucepan over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
- Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix Well: Whisk together until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
3. Prepare the Biscuit Dough
- Open Cans: Open the cans of refrigerated biscuit dough.
- Separate Biscuits: Separate the dough into individual biscuits.
- Cut into Quarters: Using a sharp knife or kitchen shears, cut each biscuit into four equal pieces.
4. Coat Biscuit Pieces with Garlic Butter
- Combine with Butter Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the biscuit pieces with the melted garlic butter mixture.
- Toss Evenly: Toss the biscuit pieces gently but thoroughly to ensure they are evenly coated with the flavorful butter mixture.
5. Add Cheese and Parsley
- Incorporate Cheese and Parsley: Add the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley to the bowl with the coated biscuit pieces.
- Toss Gently: Toss gently to combine, making sure the cheese and parsley are distributed evenly among the biscuit pieces.
6. Assemble the Monkey Bread
- Layer in Bundt Pan: Carefully layer the coated biscuit pieces into the greased Bundt pan. You can alternate the pieces with any remaining cheese and herbs in the bowl, creating an even distribution of flavors.
- Tip: Don’t pack the biscuit pieces too tightly in the pan. They need some room to expand during baking.
7. Bake to Golden Perfection
- Bake: Place the Bundt pan on the center rack of your preheated oven.
- Baking Time: Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Check for Doneness: The monkey bread is done when it’s golden brown on top and the biscuit pieces are cooked through. You can test for doneness by inserting a wooden skewer or toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
8. Cool and Invert
- Cool: Remove the Bundt pan from the oven and let the monkey bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. This allows it to set slightly and makes it easier to invert.
- Invert: Carefully invert the Bundt pan onto a serving plate. The monkey bread should release easily. If it sticks slightly, gently tap the bottom of the pan to loosen it.
9. Serve and Enjoy: Pull Apart and Savor
- Serve Warm: Serve the Garlic Parmesan Monkey Bread warm, allowing guests to pull apart the pieces themselves.
- Dipping Sauces (Optional): While delicious on its own, you can serve it with marinara sauce, garlic butter sauce, or ranch dressing for dipping.
