Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix sweet corn, flour, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the buttermilk and egg, stirring until you have a smooth batter.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Remove fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with a tangy dipping sauce or your favorite condiments.
