- 1 cup fresh sweet corn kernels
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix sweet corn, flour, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the buttermilk and egg, stirring until you have a smooth batter.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with a tangy dipping sauce or your favorite condiments.
