Easy Slow Cooker Crack Chicken Recipe

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup bacon bits
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Spread the cream cheese evenly over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix, bacon bits, and garlic powder over the top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  7. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker, add the cheddar cheese, and stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
  8. Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or as a filling for sandwiches.
