- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup bacon bits
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Place the chicken at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Spread the cream cheese evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix, bacon bits, and garlic powder over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker, add the cheddar cheese, and stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
- Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or as a filling for sandwiches.
