Delicious Strawberry Oatmeal Crumble Bars Recipe

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and chopped
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (or honey as a substitute)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the cold butter cubes to the mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form an even crust.
  5. Evenly distribute the chopped strawberries over the crust layer.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top of the strawberries, covering them evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the strawberries are bubbling slightly.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
