Description

This recipe is a delightful combination of fudgy brownies, creamy pudding, fluffy Cool Whip, and crunchy Mint OREO®s, all layered together in a beautiful trifle

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 box Brownie Mix (8x8 inch pan size), plus ingredients called for on the box (usually eggs, oil, and water)
  • 3.5 oz Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Mint OREO®s, crushed (amount to your liking)

Instructions

Let’s walk through the process:

  1. Bake the Brownies: Cook the brownies according to the directions on the box. Allow them to cool completely. This is important.

  2. Make the Pudding: Prepare the instant vanilla pudding according to the package directions. Once the pudding is made, add a few drops of green food coloring, or until your desired shade of green is reached. Stir well to distribute the color evenly.

  3. Crush the OREO®s: Place a few Mint OREO®s in a Ziploc bag. Seal the bag and crush the cookies using a rolling pin, a meat mallet, or your hands. You want a mixture of fine crumbs and larger pieces.

  4. Assemble the Trifle: Cut the cooled brownies into bite-sized pieces. In a trifle bowl (or other large glass bowl), layer the ingredients in the following order:

    • A layer of brownie pieces
    • A layer of green pudding
    • A layer of Cool Whip
    • Another layer of brownie pieces
    • Another layer of green pudding
    • A sprinkle of crushed Mint OREO®s
  5. Chill: Cover the trifle with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour, or until ready to serve. This allows the flavors to meld and the pudding to set up further
