  • Sugar: 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch: 1 teaspoon

For Garnish:

  • Confectioners’ Sugar:
  • Ground Cinnamon:

Instructions

First, preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). This ensures the air fryer is at the correct temperature for cooking the wontons.

In your small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it’s smooth and creamy. This creates the base for your filling.

Stir in the shredded coconut, mashed banana, chopped walnuts, and drained crushed pineapple. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.

Fold in the marshmallow creme gently until it’s just combined. Don’t overmix.

Now, it’s time to assemble the wontons. Position a wonton wrapper with one point facing you, like a diamond. Keep the remaining wrappers covered with a damp paper towel.

Place about 2 teaspoons of the filling in the center of the wonton wrapper. Don’t overfill.

Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water. This helps to seal the wonton.

Fold the opposite corners of the wonton wrapper together over the filling, forming a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal.

Repeat with the remaining wonton wrappers and filling. You should have about 24 filled wontons.

In batches, arrange the wontons in a single layer on the greased tray in your air fryer basket. Don’t overcrowd the basket.

Spritz the wontons lightly with cooking spray. This helps them to crisp up and brown evenly.

Cook the wontons in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

While the wontons are cooking, prepare the strawberry sauce. Place the hulled strawberries in your food processor or blender and process until they are completely pureed.

In your small saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch. Whisk to combine.

Stir in the pureed strawberries. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Cook and stir the sauce for about 2 minutes, or until it has thickened. It should coat the back of a spoon.

If desired, strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds. This will create a smoother sauce.

Remove the cooked wontons from the air fryer. Sprinkle them with confectioners’ sugar and ground cinnamon.

Serve the warm wontons immediately with the strawberry dipping sauce. Enjoy!
