Description

I’m not going to lie – the first time I heard about dill pickle shots, I was skeptical. It sounded… unusual, to say the least

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz vodka (or tequila)
  • 4 oz dill pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • Ice
  • Pickle slices or spears (for garnish)

For the Rim (Optional):

  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dill weed

Instructions

Let’s get to the fun part – making the shots! I’ll guide you through each step, making it super easy to follow.

Step 1: Prepare the Rim (Optional). If you’re using the rim seasoning, combine the kosher salt, garlic powder, and dill weed on a small plate. Mix well.

Step 2: Rim the Glasses (Optional). Run a pickle slice or a wedge of lemon around the rims of your shot glasses to moisten them. Then, dip the rims into the seasoning mixture, coating them evenly.

Step 3: Combine the Ingredients. In your cocktail shaker, combine the vodka (or tequila), dill pickle juice, and fresh lemon juice (if using).

Step 4: Add Ice. Fill the shaker with ice.

Step 5: Shake It Up! Secure the lid of the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until the mixture is well-chilled.

Step 6: Strain & Pour. Strain the mixture into your prepared shot glasses.

Step 7: Garnish & Serve. Garnish each shot with a mini pickle slice or spear. Serve immediately and enjoy!
