Description

This recipe, “Low-Carb Chocolate Cottage Cheese Mousse,” is a decadent yet surprisingly healthy dessert that combines the richness of chocolate with the creaminess of cottage cheese

Ingredients

Scale

  • ½ cup cottage cheese (preferably full-fat for creaminess)
  • 1–2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1–2 tsp powdered sweetener of choice (such as erythritol or monk fruit)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1-2 tbsp melted dark chocolate for extra richness

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, combine the cottage cheese, cocoa powder, sweetener, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This may take a few minutes, depending on the power of your blender.

  2. Add Chocolate (Optional): If using melted dark chocolate, pour it into the blended mixture and pulse again until fully incorporated.

  3. Chill and Serve: Transfer the mousse to serving bowls. For best texture, chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the mousse to firm up slightly.

  4. Garnish: Top with a sprinkle of cocoa powder, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries, if desired.
