Description

When I first made this Blueberry Cottage Cheese Mousse, I was craving a dessert that was creamy and light, but still packed with real, fruity flavor

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups cottage cheese
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Fresh blueberries and extra lemon zest for garnish

Instructions

To Prepare the Mousse
Step 1: Add the cottage cheese, blueberries, honey or maple syrup, and lemon zest to a high-powered blender or food processor
Step 2: Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, about 1–2 minutes
Step 3: Scrape down the sides as needed to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated
Step 4: Taste and adjust sweetness if desired, blending again briefly

To Assemble and Chill
Step 5: Spoon the mousse evenly into four small serving glasses or jars
Step 6: Smooth the tops with the back of a spoon for a clean finish
Step 7: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set and chill

To Serve
Step 8: Garnish each mousse cup with fresh blueberries and a pinch of lemon zest
Step 9: Serve chilled for best texture and flavor
Step 10: Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
