Description

When I first whipped up this Chocolate Cottage Cheese Mousse, I wanted something that felt indulgent but was made with clean, real ingredients. I was craving the deep richness of chocolate — smooth, velvety, and decadent — but without reaching for heavy cream or overly sugary recipes. This mousse hit every mark: rich in flavor, creamy in texture, and incredibly easy to make

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups cottage cheese
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dark chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Add the cottage cheese, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to a high-powered blender or food processor
Step 2: Blend on high speed for 1–2 minutes until completely smooth and creamy
Step 3: Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed to ensure all ingredients are fully combined
Step 4: Taste and adjust sweetness or chocolate intensity to your liking

To Assemble and Chill
Step 5: Spoon the mousse evenly into four small glasses, ramekins, or jars
Step 6: Smooth the tops and cover the dishes
Step 7: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the mousse to set and the flavors to develop

To Serve
Step 8: Garnish each mousse with dark chocolate shavings just before serving
Step 9: Serve chilled and enjoy a rich, guilt-free chocolate dessert
Step 10: Store any leftovers in the fridge, covered, for up to 3 days
