Description

A light and refreshing dessert made with white cake, strawberry Jello soaked into every bite, and topped with creamy Cool Whip. Perfect for summer gatherings or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (6 oz) box of Strawberry Jello
  • 1 box of white cake mix (plus ingredients required on box: usually eggs, water, and oil)
  • 8 oz Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Bake the white cake according to the package instructions and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes evenly across the surface of the cake.
  3. Prepare the strawberry Jello according to the package instructions, stopping before the refrigeration step.
  4. Pour the liquid Jello evenly over the poked cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
  5. Refrigerate the cake for 4–5 hours, or until the Jello has fully set inside the cake.
  6. Once chilled, spread the Cool Whip over the top of the cake in an even layer.
  7. Slice, serve, and enjoy this cool, fruity dessert.

Notes

  • You can substitute different Jello flavors for variety.
  • Top with fresh strawberries for extra flavor and presentation.
  • For a homemade touch, use fresh whipped cream instead of Cool Whip.
