Description
These Air Fryer Churros are a quick and easy take on the classic treat, made with puff pastry and coated in a cinnamon-sugar blend. Crispy, buttery, and ready in minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 puff pastry dough sheet, thawed
- Non-stick cooking spray or oil
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and coat the bottom of the basket with oil or non-stick cooking spray.
- Cut the thawed puff pastry sheet in half lengthwise, then cut into one-inch strips.
- Spray or brush both sides of each strip with oil to ensure crispiness.
- Place the strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While churros are cooking, combine the sugar and cinnamon in a gallon-sized plastic bag and shake to mix.
- Once churros are done, immediately brush each with melted butter.
- Place the churros into the cinnamon-sugar bag, seal, and shake gently to coat.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For best texture, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Serve churros immediately after cooking for maximum crispiness.
- You can pair with chocolate sauce or dulce de leche for dipping.
- Adjust cinnamon to taste depending on preference.
- Use vegan puff pastry and plant-based butter for a dairy-free version.
