Description

These Homemade Easy Cheesy Pizza Pockets are the perfect handheld snack or quick meal, filled with melty mozzarella, pepperoni, and pizza sauce. Baked until golden, they’re a fun and customizable alternative to delivery.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • Optional: mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, or cooked sausage crumbles
  • 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes and let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Divide dough into 8–10 equal balls. Roll each ball into a 6-inch circle.
  3. Place 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce, 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella, and desired fillings on half of each dough circle.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling, press the edges together, and crimp with a fork to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with egg wash. Place on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.
