Description

These rich and indulgent Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Brownies are layered with full-size peanut butter cups and topped with a fluffy peanut butter frosting. Perfect for peanut butter and chocolate lovers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (18 oz) box brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on the box (usually eggs, water, oil)
  • 15 full-size Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 ¼ cups confectioners sugar
  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the brownie batter according to the package instructions.
  3. Spread about ⅔ of the batter into the prepared pan.
  4. Arrange 15 Reese’s Cups in a single layer over the batter and press them in slightly.
  5. Cover with the remaining brownie batter and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool the brownies completely on a wire rack before frosting.
  8. In a large bowl, beat the peanut butter and butter together until smooth.
  9. Gradually add confectioners sugar, mixing well and scraping the bowl as needed.
  10. Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Mix until combined, then whip on medium-high speed for 2 minutes until fluffy.
  11. Lift the cooled brownies from the pan using the parchment paper and spread the frosting evenly on top.
  12. Slice and serve, optionally topped with chopped Reese’s or chocolate drizzle.

Notes

  • Make sure the brownies are fully cooled before adding frosting to prevent melting.
  • For extra texture and decoration, sprinkle chopped Reese’s or drizzle melted chocolate over the top.
  • Use an electric mixer to ensure the frosting is fluffy and smooth.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
