Description

Garlic Butter Beef Rollups are a savory, cheesy snack wrapped in flaky crescent dough and brushed with garlicky butter. Perfect for parties, game days, or a fun family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for butter)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray it with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onions until beef is browned and onions are soft, about 8–10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.
  3. Stir the shredded cheddar cheese into the cooled beef mixture until combined.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  5. Place a heaping tablespoon of beef mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll up each triangle from the wide end toward the point and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Mix the melted butter with the garlic powder and brush generously over the tops of the rollups.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce like ketchup or ranch dressing.

Notes

  • Let the beef mixture cool slightly before adding cheese to prevent premature melting.
  • Don’t overfill the dough to ensure clean rolls without leaks.
  • Customize with other cheeses or add a bit of cooked bacon for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the oven for best results.
  • Perfect appetizer for parties or easy weeknight dinners.
