Description

A delightfully simple and refreshing summer dessert that requires no ice cream machine. Fresh, juicy peaches are folded into a rich, fluffy base made from whipped cream and sweetened condensed milk. This no-churn recipe results in a creamy, fruit-filled treat that freezes perfectly in a standard loaf pan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla paste (can substitute with vanilla extract)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peaches: Using a food processor, pulse the peeled and sliced peaches until they are broken down into pea-sized chunks. Alternatively, dice the peaches by hand and lightly mash them in a large bowl to release their natural juices. Cover with a towel and set aside.
  2. Whip the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla paste. Whisk on medium-high speed using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  3. Combine: Gently fold the prepared peaches and their juices into the whipped cream mixture until just combined. Do not overmix to keep the texture airy.
  4. Freeze: Pour the mixture into a bread loaf pan or another freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours for a soft-serve consistency, or 6 hours to overnight for a firmer scoopable ice cream.

Notes

  • Peeling Peaches: To easily peel peaches, score an X on the bottom, boil them for 30 seconds, then plunge into an ice bath. The skins will slip right off.
  • Storage: If freezing overnight, you may need to let the ice cream sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes before scooping to soften slightly.
  • Vanilla Paste: Vanilla paste provides beautiful black specks and a robust flavor, but high-quality vanilla extract works well too.
