Description
Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta is a hearty, comforting dish that combines all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger with tender pasta, making it a perfect quick and satisfying weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups cooked pasta (rotini or penne)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain the excess fat.
- Sprinkle the flour over the beef. Stir well, and gradually whisk in the milk to form a creamy sauce.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir thoroughly until the cheese melts and the sauce evenly coats the pasta.
- Serve immediately. Optionally, top with extra cheese or crumbled bacon for added flavor.
Notes
- Use freshly cooked pasta for best texture; slightly undercook it to prevent overcooking when mixed with the sauce.
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Feel free to add vegetables like sautéed onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrients.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
