Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon Bites:

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons high-heat oil (e.g., avocado or vegetable oil)

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

Optional Garnish:

  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Prepare the Salmon Bites:

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the salmon cubes in the mixture until evenly coated.

2. Cook the Salmon:

  1. Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the salmon cubes in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice to the skillet. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

4. Combine and Serve:

  1. Return the cooked salmon bites to the skillet, tossing gently to coat them in the honey garlic sauce.
  2. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, ensuring the salmon is fully glazed and heated through.
  3. Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
