Description

This Oreo Cream Cheese Cheesecake Sushi Roll Dessert is a fun and indulgent treat combining a soft chocolate cake, creamy Oreo filling, and a drizzle of white chocolate, perfect for parties or a creative dessert twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 68 cookies)
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted
  • 46 whole Oreo cookies (for decoration)
  • Extra crushed Oreo cookies (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions, mixing in eggs, oil, water, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Dust a clean kitchen towel with powdered sugar.
  6. Immediately invert the cake onto the towel and carefully peel off the parchment paper.
  7. While still warm, roll the cake in the towel and let it cool completely.
  8. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
  9. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until incorporated.
  10. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies gently.
  11. Unroll the cooled cake and spread the Oreo cream cheese filling evenly over it.
  12. Gently re-roll the cake, keeping it tight and intact.
  13. Wrap the cake roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  14. Drizzle melted white chocolate over the top.
  15. Decorate with whole Oreos and sprinkle with extra crushed Oreos.
  16. Slice into portions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Roll the cake while warm to prevent cracking.
  • Chill the roll thoroughly for cleaner slices.
  • You can customize the filling with flavored Oreos or add mini chocolate chips.
  • For a more intense flavor, use dark chocolate cake mix.
  • Serve cold for the best texture and flavor.
